Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. Good quality wire. Doesn't fail and break after only a few bends or twists like most cheap wire.
The silicone insulator is great for flexibility in tight spaces like guitar electronics cavities.
I'm constantly trying out new part and pickups and found that some cheaper wires were often failing due to being moved around all the time.
